MEET DR. CARTER

Dr. Carter grew up in southeast Georgia outside of the small town of Hoboken. Growing up, he spent the majority of his time on the baseball diamond. His love for baseball grew as he had the opportunity to play on top-ranked teams, compete for multiple state championships and serve as his team’s captain.

Following high school, Dr. Carter attended Berry College, graduating with a Biochemistry degree and highest academic honors, Summa Cum Laude. He also found time to give back to the community and was inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society as an acknowledgement of his community service.

Next, Dr. Carter embarked on his journey to become a dentist at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry, where he graduated at the top of his class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. After personally seeing the impact that orthodontics had on the lives of others, he took his dental career one step further and was accepted into the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s highly competitive three-year orthodontics residency.

Dr. Carter is married to Dr. Emily Carter, a dentist in Rainsville. They have three very sweet daughters and a goldendoodle named Charlie. Dr. Carter enjoys golf, live music, reading, sports, documentaries, and meeting new people. He can’t wait to learn more about you and your story!

Dr. Carter, Orthdontist

“The people I have met during my visits to Rainsville were so kind and welcoming, that when the time came for me to decide where I would like to open my orthodontic practice, Rainsville was the obvious choice.”

“I feel so lucky to be able to interact with patients and be an integral part of changing someone’s perception of themselves. Having the ability to boost a person’s self-confidence by changing the position of their teeth and creating a beautiful smile is why I chose the field of Orthodontics.”
